Dog Days of Summer is proud to support the following Colorado dog rescues:
Our purpose is to help older, low-income pet parents and their companion/service animals remain together when issues arise. Our goal is to prevent at-risk animals from being surrendured or euthanized for treatable conditions and temporary challenges. We help with major veterinary costs, emergency foster care, food support and more. We don't do adoptions; we help pets lucky enough to have homes remain in those homes by providing a number of support services.
SDAR rescues Dobermans, Doberman mixes, and other breeds on a case-by-case basis. We strive to save as many Dobermans as we can, and ensure all of our dogs are kept in foster homes. We work with local and out-of-state shelters to achieve our goals.
The mission of Karl's Canine Krew is to help adpotable companion animals find homes through fostering and adoption while helping to relieve overpopulation of shelterss through education, spay/neuter assistance, and community outreach. We do so by encouraging the community to temporarily house animals so that we can work with our rescue partners to move animals from overcrowded shelterss to areas with higher adoption rates. We attend community events and host our own adoption events teaching responsible pet ownership and the importance of adoption. Today and every day, we rescue in honor of Karl Knapp; a true animal lover, compassionate rescuer, and stellar friend.
